About the home:
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Deputy Manager to join our friendly and welcoming care home providing care for adults with a range of needs including dementia/Alzheimer's, old age and elderly care and physical disability. We pride ourselves on our investment into our homes, our residents and our fantastic team all sharing the same values and passion for elderly care.
About the Role:
As the Deputy Manager at our lovely care home in Mansfield, you will oversee and assist every aspect of care and activities within the home, making sure the level of care provided goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements.  You will write and review care plans and ensure these are evaluated monthly alongside supervising/coaching the wider team, ensuring the team are fully competent with medications, with weekly audits completed and monitoring stock levels. Always seeking to share your experience, you will provide valuable support, guidance, and assistance to the rest of our care staff, helping to create an inspired, motivated and empowered team resulting in outstanding levels of care for our clients.

About you:

  • Relevant Professional qualification (NVQ 3 or equivalent)
  • Minimum of two years' experience in residential / nursing home setting of which at least one year must be with people living with dementia
  • Experience as a senior (or higher) within a similar environment
  • Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning
  • Full Driving Licence
  • To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse
