The client, a growing and log established engineering business with opportunity to develop a career are seeking 2 CNC Machinists to work from their modern manufacturing facility.

Nice clean working environment working double day shifts

Week 1 Mon-Thurs 5.45am-1.30pm Fri 6.00a.m-2.00p.m

Week 2 Mon-Thurs 1.15pm-11.00pm Mon-Thurs ā€“ FRIDAY OFF.

Summary:

Sets up and operates computer numerically controlled and manual machines to perform machining operations by performing the following duties.

Role Purpose / Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ā·Operates conventional and CNC lathe machine to produce a range of components from drawings.

Ā·Proficient in stand alone programming and editing is desirable but not essential. Setting knowledge and correction offsets to ensure repeatable dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

Ā·Able to produce all products that are allocated to the machines or work area without assistance from others and with minimal supervision.

Ā·Must be able to comprehend and understand all forms of engineering specifications and symbols in order to produce machined components.

Ā·Highly proficient in the use of metrology and high accuracy measurement equipment and processes.

Ā·Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system.

Ā·Interpret work instructions.

Ā·Intuitively understand capabilities of tooling and machinery.

Ā·Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to reduced setup times and improve productivity.

Ā·Visually inspects final components.

Ā·Seek out and identify Continuous Improvement opportunities

Ā·Create and maintain a team focused work environment.

Ā·Responsible for general housekeeping and cleanliness of working

Ā·Support ā€œBest Practicesā€ to achieve company goals for safety, delivery

Ā·Ability to work rotating shifts.

Skills and Experience:

Ā·The post holder will preferably have a recognised craft apprenticeship, NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant work experience.

Qualifications:

Ā·Formal qualifications are not a necessity.
