A new and exciting opportunity to join a global leader who are specialists in creating innovative, safety critical equipment used in defence, aerospace and maritime sectors to make the world safer.

As our Industrialisation Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving the efficient transition of products from design to production. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong presence on the shop floor, where you will be leading activities between departments and ensuring seamless coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of product designs
  • Provide input to design team regarding any modifications to optimise production processes
  • Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes via process mapping, shop floor layouts and optimisation strategies
  • Conduct process capability studies, takt time analysis, and lead Kaizen events
  • Conduct PFMEA to identify and mitigate any risks
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to standards throughout the process
  • Oversee data collection and analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • HND/Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Background in manufacturing engineering/industrialisation, preferably in aerospace or similar regulated environment
  • Proven experience of managing a multi-disciplined engineering team
  • Hands on, shop floor approach to driving change and making improvements
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership and influential skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
