About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with SEMH needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide individualised support, ensuring that each student receives the care and attention they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the class teacher.
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Assisting with the preparation of lesson materials and resources.
  • Participating in school activities and events, contributing to the school's community.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
