Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Biology Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of scientists? We're seeking a permanent, full-time Biology Teacher to join our Outstanding mixed school in Enfield this September. This is an exciting opportunity to foster a deep understanding and appreciation for the living world in our students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) within a supportive and high-achieving environment.
Responsibilities
- You'll be designing and delivering engaging Biology lessons, igniting curiosity about the natural world and biological processes.
- The role involves expertly guiding students through diverse biological topics, from cell biology to ecosystems, following a stimulating and well-structured curriculum.
- You'll cultivate a vibrant and inquiry-based learning environment, encouraging scientific investigation and critical thinking about biological issues.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Biology is essential.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective Biology lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
- A deep and current understanding of biological principles, coupled with the ability to make the subject accessible and relevant, is expected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to manage practical experiments, are vital.
