Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons to KS2 students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Provide tailored support to students, including those with diverse learning needs.
  • Implement various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Assist with classroom management to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare learning materials and resources.
  • Support students during activities, assignments, and assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and other staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, specifically for KS2.
  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the KS2 curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students' learning and well-being.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a collaborative approach.
  • Commitment to professional development and learning.
  • Valid DBS and right to work document.
