Senior Facilities Manager

Insight Executive are working with a leading Tier-1 FM service provider to recruit a Senior Facilities Manager for a site in Enfield. In the role of Senior Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive Soft FM services contract, on a manufacturing site.

The contract covers cleaning, catering, and waste, and the successful candidate will need experience within a catering environment and have worked on catering contracts previously. There are currently minimal levels of Hard FM works, but there is an expectation that this will increase over time, so an understanding of Hard FM is desirable.

The purpose of the job:

  • Ensure local delivery of Hard & Soft FM services at the site, ensuring cost, quality and compliance metrics are achieved. Responsible for the entire operating structure at site, leading a team to ensure delivery against Key Performance Indicators with the ability to potentially move the business to an IFM structure with technical services over the next few years
  • Support in the delivery / implementation of the business strategy / objectives for client’s and site-specific objectives
  • Ensuring all personnel are fully trained and competent to deliver the scope of works they are assigned for
  • Ensure full compliance to statutory, legislative and client specific requirements / SOPs
  • Act as the primary representative for all services within our defined operating area by the effective
  • management of all staff to ensure the delivery of both qualitative and quantitative results
  • Motivate and lead a high performing team
  • Total accountability (financially and operationally) and responsibility for the entire site and all services

Duties of the role include:

  • Lead the team to deliver scoped services daily; to ensure client satisfaction and achievement of KPIs
  • Interact with the teams daily - to ensure clear communication / develop at one team ethic in service delivery
  • Support the UK Operations Lead as required with any projects
  • Track and monitor labour budgets, submit payroll variations on time.
  • Establish and develop key relationships with senior client management and the third-party service providers to enable successful delivery of cost savings and service level agreements
  • Ensure undisrupted delivery of soft services operations to the business through internal and contract resources.
  • Support with the delivery of the site business development plan
  • Ensure that the Company's, the clients and statutory regulations regarding hygiene, food safety, health & safety and Equal Opportunities are complied with

The person specification:

  • IOSH or equivalent Managing Safely qualification
  • Ability to interpret and utilise financial information
  • Previous experience of operational management in a similar environment
  • Proven experience of developing profitable relationships for multi-site contracts
  • Broad commercial FM experience and business acumen, knowledge of external industry developments & contract development models
  • Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
  • IFM background primarily (A strong technical services background preferred but not essential)
