The Company:
Just shy of 10 years in business, our client is a family-owned business and leading provider of top-tier building services in London and the Home Counties.
Their turnover is approx. £11/12m and their portfolio spans commercial, leisure, mixed-use and high-end residential sectors, encompassing new builds, renovations, and period refurbishments with unmatched quality. Their project values range between £1m - £5m.
With young, ambitious directors and continuous innovation, the business is expecting to reach £25/30m turnover in 2-3 years. With several new projects in the pipeline, they are keen to add a competent Senior QS/ Quantity Surveyor to an already efficient commercial team.
They want someone hands-on who can wear multiple hats within the business. Someone who can become a key part of their growth over the next few years. They have a team of some of the best staff in the industry and are always looking to add top-quality candidates to that.
Projects Info:
Have £3m commercial refurb in North London (Structure done - but £2m worth of fit out) and another £1m roof replacement in Central for QS coming in to take lead on.
The Role & Opportunity:
Reporting to the Directors, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of the project(s).
- Regular travel to sites across the UK (Generally within 10miles of H/O)
- Calculate all the prime costs of developments within the business.
- Deal with valuations & payment notices.
- Provide a detailed cost budget plan and share it with the site team.
- Maintain schedules of quantities and price them for the prime cost budget.
- Prepare estimates of all costs including sub-contractors & materials.
- 5+ years’ experience working with smaller to medium size main contractors (rather than solely Tier 1's).
- Ideally have high end residential/ commercial projects experience previous.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Ambitious & Driven.
- Comfortable working in sociable and lively culture.
