Are you a skilled and reliable individual with a passion for keeping buildings and grounds in top condition? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance individual to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our facilities.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- To carry out a wide range of repairs, routine maintenance and alterations to buildings, grounds and fixtures and fittings.
- Investigating and repairing any reported problems and checking for others.
- To attend emergency call outs outside of normal working hours.
- Comply with all relevant regulations in relation to the Health and Safety Regulations.
- To undertake all Health and Safety duties commensurate with the position.
- To make safe any hazard until an effective repair is made.
- To assist with the any Fire and emergency procedures, such as fire drills and testing emergency lighting.
- To check work carried out by other contractors to ensure work is completed to the satisfaction of the Company and report any concerns or complaints to Line Manager.
- Undertake and assist in planned maintenance programmes and improvement projects as required.
- To carry out regular security checks on all buildings and equipment and respond to acts of damage.
- To check the lighting and repair fuses, replace bulbs, tubes and alter time switches as required.
- To ensure the correct and efficient operation of heating, lighting and water systems at all the premises, together with the operation and maintenance of any other plant or machinery.
- To ensure that equipment used by staff and residents is in a safe and working order and complies with relevant Health and Safety regulations. (PAT)
- To maintain and program the Nurse Call systems.
- To ensure that outside areas are clean, tidy and hazard free.
- Removal of litter/rubbish and discarded items from our buildings.
- Clearing of gullies, gutters (where possible), drains and blockages as required.
- Clearing snow and gritting to the exterior of the premises as required.
- Maintain workshop, garage and storage sheds in clean and tidy condition.
- The movement of general items, including furniture and equipment, within and between any rooms or elsewhere as required.
- To transport and dispose of household waste as required.
- To undertake all decorating tasks, where possible.
- To attend the company premises at the request of the Manager and at inspections by outside agencies.
- To assist Managers with special functions as required.
- Submitting accurate and timely expense forms as well as completing various administrative documentation as required.
