Our Client is in search of a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our supportive and friendly team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid financial background, a positive attitude, and the ability to use their own initiative. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and lead a team, contributing significantly to the financial health of the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control functions.
- Lead a team of three, overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Conduct monthly closing procedures and reconciliations.
- Generate financial reports and management accounting documents.
- Develop and manage budgets, including cash flow forecasting.
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to aid strategic decision-making.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support the finance department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Accounting qualification
- Collaborative team player who is also comfortable contributing ideas.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Excel
- Highly organised and self-motivated individual.
- A keen eye for detail and effective communication skills.
