Management Accountant

Butler Rose is working with a dynamic and growing business to recruit a management accountant on a permanent basis. The role requires candidates to be in a commutable distance to Exeter but is able to offer mostly remote working.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, this role has arisen due to business growth and will have the following responsibilities.

• Assist with overseeing the day-to-day running of the finance team.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance reports and analysis.
• Cash flow management.
• Ensure accuracy of data entry to the accounting system and completeness of journalled transactions (accruals, pre-payments, fixed assets).
• Development of analysis and financial schedules to provide further insight to the management accounts.
• Proactively look for continuous ways to improve internal controls and efficiencies in reporting.
• Support annual audit process by preparing the audit field work, liaising with external auditors throughout the process.
• Use of accounting software and MS Excel

The successful candidate will be a formally qualified accountant (ACCA,ACA, CIMA or equivalent), although those who are qualified by experience with demonstrable skills will also be considered. You will be happy to get stuck into the detail and enjoy working as part of a small team, supporting the wider business.
