We are seeking a Product Designer / Product Design Engineer to join a renowned outdoor and marine equipment manufacturer near Exeter. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Product Design and some industry experience, either in a product design role or with a design consultancy.
Duties and responsibilities of the Product Design Engineer:
- Conduct research, design, prototyping, and testing of product ideas
- Create product designs using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and estimate tooling costs
- Produce renders and animations for the marketing team
- Develop sketches, detailed development work, and design documentation
Qualifications and requirement for the Product Design Engineer:
- Degree in Product Design or Computer-Aided Design
- Background as a Product Designer, Product Design Engineer, or in a similar role
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks
- Ability to commute to or relocate to Exeter
