Location:Topsham

Working Hours:Monday - Friday, 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM, every other Saturday offered but not compulsory

Salary:£14.50 per hour

Contract Type:Temporary to Permanent (12-week contract)

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our food service company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional service and ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and drive a Class 2 vehicle to deliver food products to various destinations.
• Complete an average of 10 drops per day, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in delivery schedules.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and road regulations.
• Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks, reporting any issues promptly.
• Ensure all deliveries are made in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license with no more than 6 points.
• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and TACHO (Digital Tachograph) licenses.
• Previous experience in a similar driving role.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25kg.
• Comfortable working early morning shifts starting at 4:00 AM.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Safety boots and high-visibility clothing (hi-vis) required for the role.
