Trial Balance Consulting have been engaged by a new client, a well-established and highly successful services business that have tasked us with sourcing a Finance Manager. The role is offered as a permanent, full-time contract to be based at the company’s headquarters near Exeter.

This is a number one position in the finance department, where the successful candidate will have overall responsibility of the finance function and manage the existing finance team. Reporting in to an experienced MD, this is a role which has a clear path to a future Finance Director position and plays a vital role in the smooth running of the business.

Key responsibilities to include:

- Responsibility of the overall day to-day running of the finance function

- Manage a small but effective finance team

- Preparing monthly management accounts

- Budget and forecast preparation

- Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable

- Overseeing weekly and monthly payroll

- Liaising with external auditors and preparing annual statutory accounts

- Supporting with adhoc HR tasks.

This role will suit an ambitious and ideally professionally qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) candidate. You will have worked in a similar position and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently within a close-knit team environment. Due to the nature of the role, you will be a clear communicator with excellent attention to detail and have advanced Excel skills.
