Our client, a reputable service business, is currently seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join their dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Finance Manager, you will manage financial operations, including invoicing, payroll, cashflow forecasting, and reporting, while also supervising staff and sharing office management duties.

The responsibilities:

• Manage the daily finance function of the business, including raising and pursuing outstanding sales invoices, handling credit cards, petty cash, insurance policies, and HP/lease agreements.
• Supervise the coding and input of purchase invoices.
• Authorise and manage payment runs.
• Reconcile and report VAT quarterly to HMRC.
• Manage bank accounts, including reconciliations and liaison with the bank.
• Oversee payroll processing, ensure PAYE & NI compliance with HMRC, and manage holiday systems.
• Forecast cashflow and manage invoice finance, including monthly reconciliations.
• Produce monthly management accounts and collaborate with all departments.

The candidate:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualification or part-qualification. Candidates with relevant experience but no qualifications will also be considered.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager with strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial software (e.g., Sage, Excel), and VAT reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and supervise a team.
