Hours: 8 hours, Monday - Friday

Garden Maintenance Operative - The Role:
The business is looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative to join our staff and contribute to our company journey. You will be joining a team of people who are enthusiastic and hard working with a can-do attitude. There is a high demand for our services operating at the premium end of the market and we are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team.
You will be part of a specialist team of three or more to assist staff in delivering high quality projects to our customer base, working mainly on the following tasks:
• Undertake general grounds maintenance duties ensuring a high standard of work is always maintained.
• Ensure that you are aware of your tasks and targets for each day, are fully aware of the standard of work required for each task and any issues to be raised to your manager.
• Grounds maintenance duties to include both mechanical and manual operations such as edging, grass cutting, weeding, planting trees, shrubs planting, seasonal bedding planting, pruning and small tree works.
• On occasion to assist with the construction / projects side of the business when required.
• Carry out routine checks on equipment /machinery, van checks daily if authorised to drive, and report to your line manager any defects and damage.
• Responsible for your own health and safety of your work colleagues and others who may be affected by your work activity and to follow work Atlantes Landscapes H&S Policy and ISO accreditation 45001, 14001, 9001.
• Operate the full range of grounds maintenance equipment / vehicles such as ride on, lawnmowers, strimmer's, blowers, hedge cutters, pole saws, vans, company vehicles and associated equipment. Training will be provided.
• Undertake any relevant training which may be deemed necessary to ensure duties are carried out effectively.
• Ensure that van is loaded correctly when travelling making sure fuel, machinery, waste are secured safely.
• Any work-related invoices or receipts to be kept and stored safely and issued to your line manager for accounting purposes.
• To minimise impact upon the environment to include the safe and efficient use of fuels/oils, the correct handling and disposal of waste materials.

Required Competencies:
• Experience in the Garden Maintenance sector.
• Experience with garden maintenance machinery
• Experience with general garden maintenance roles
• Experience of soft landscaping including turfing, tree planting
• A full driving license.
Experience of any of the following, an advantage: Greenkeeper, Groundsman, Fine turf, Landscape Gardener, Ground Maintenance, Construction, Garden design, Garden builder, Labouring
