Your new companyYou will have the opportunity to work with a well established charity supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals in society. This charity runs projects throughout the year and has supported thousands of individuals out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse and more.

Your new roleTo manage all aspects of the service and to ensure the delivery of a consistently high quality, safe and person-centred servicein accordance with our policies and procedures, vision, values and strategic objectives and within the relevant legislative framework.

  • Provide planning, leadership and direction, meeting statutory and organisational quality standards
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of any relevant buildings, including maintenance and safety issues, ensuring that regular inspections (internal and external) are made and monitored.
  • Ensure that the appropriate levels and quality of staff and other resources are available to meet the agreed service standards, and that a robust staffing rota always exists. The post holder will be expected to provide additional cover if necessary
  • Develop and manage monitoring systems which demonstrate the usage and achievements of the service for your team, the organisation and external audiences
  • Carry out, within reason, any other duties necessary to achieve the smooth running of the service and undertake other organisational duties, which are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities

  • On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call

What you'll need to succeed

  • A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of rough sleeping, multiple complex social need and the causes of homelessness.
  • Experience of staff team management, including experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, training, discipline and grievance issues.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a staff team.
  • Ability to represent the organisation professionally to a wide range of people including service users, families, neighbours, professionals and commissioners.
