The Service Engineer (SE) has an overall responsibility for the hands on servicing and repair of water treatment equipment, Undertaking scheduled service under their contract and one-off planned service outside of their contract, along with emergency call out activity occasionally outside of normal working hours. You will also be responsible for the repair of customer equipment and the Installation of new equipment where repair is not possible or viable.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, and adhere to customer site rules and procedures
  • Create RAMS for all visits
  • Undertake planned and unplanned service Perform routine maintenance work including chemical sanitisation
  • Minimise customer down time by effectively planning and executing the work
  • Work with CORE projects team and BDM’s to instigate visits
  • Deliver and install new equipment
  • Test and commission all work prior to leaving the work-site
  • Explain and demonstrate how to correctly use the equipment if necessary
  • Ensure Customer sign-off of work prior to leaving site
  • Promote Service contracts and report back new opportunities to line manager
  • Maintain spare parts stock and keep up to date records
  • Maintain all tools
  • Actively participate in equipment servicing


EXPERIENCE:
  • Relevant Equipment Service work experience desired in an appropriate Electro-mechanical environment, ideally in the water treatment sector.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations often alone on customer sites
  • Excellent communication skills required Logical and well organized
  • Require minimum supervision, often lone working
  • Able to work at weekends if required
  • Willingness to be on call for out of hours emergency work (rota system)


Requirements:

Post holder must hold a full UK Driving licence and must be able to travel and stay overnight as required, including occasional weekend working and on-call rota.
