Role Overview:

As a vital member of the maintenance team, you'll report directly to the Engineering Supervisor, spearheading the smooth operation of facilities and machinery to achieve peak efficiency. Your role will entail comprehensive preventative maintenance, swift resolution of electrical breakdowns, and meticulous reporting. You'll lead both reactive and proactive maintenance endeavors across all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Execute a diverse array of tasks including planned preventative maintenance and swift intervention during breakdowns to sustain optimal efficiency.
  • Perform routine plant checks and readings on essential equipment to ensure reliability.
  • Prioritize safety in all electrical/mechanical engineering activities, working diligently to complete tasks without compromise.
  • Continuously monitor production lines, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance performance.
  • Conduct machine inspections, undertake necessary repairs or enhancements, and execute preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Provide adept mechanical and electrical assistance during breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

Essential:

  • Possess a nationally recognized electrical engineering qualification.
  • Bring substantial experience at the plant level, demonstrating a solid track record of success.
  • Exhibit diplomacy and objectivity in all professional interactions.
  • Display excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Contribute to efficient, time-sensitive repairs as part of an engineering shift, including coordination with contractors and weekend PPM duties.

Desirable:

  • Stay informed about relevant legislative bodies and instruments, ensuring compliance within these parameters.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of plant and machinery manufacturers to drive site improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other engineering-specific programs is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and resilience in the face of challenges.
