Senior Electrical Engineer - Up to £65,000 DOE + Comprehensive Benefits Package

First Task Professional are delighted to be working on an opportunity for Contractor who have a very strong foothold in the Transmission & Distribution, Substations, Pharma & Data Centre industries across the UK and Europe.

They currently have a requirement for a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver projects across Scotland.

The role is paying a market leading salary and as such are looking for top tier Electrical Engineers.

Role:

  • Identify, execute, and oversee key detailed design tasks.
  • Initiate and manage the subcontracting of specialized design work and studies.
  • Handle internal procurement from equipment inquiries to requisitioning, monitoring manufacturing progress, and ensuring delivery to the site while maintaining a thorough audit trail.
  • Prepare technical submittals for client approval, coordinating inputs from relevant parties as needed.
  • Collaborate with the project PM, civil engineer, and QS to prepare subcontract packages.
  • Attend and document regular supply chain and project progress meetings to ensure progress aligns with the overall construction schedule.
  • Coordinate with the project team and supply chain to ensure proper operation of the plant on site and facilitate a successful handover.
  • Track and record project progress against the construction schedule.
  • Conduct testing, fault investigation, diagnostics, and fault rectification within your expertise.
  • Work with the project team to prepare design risk assessments as required by contracts and legislation, providing technical input for method statements and all health and safety aspects on site.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering design/project management experience in industrial installation projects.
  • Experience with energy management systems and the integration of automated control systems into electrical networks.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Process-driven with a strong focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes.
