Financial Accountant - Fareham

We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Central Support, Fareham on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover parental leave.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced financial accountant to support the finance director in producing key financial information to support the development of the business, including providing accurate and meaningful analysis of key measures. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking business performance analysis as directed by the Finance Director
• Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Analyse financial information to help make informed business decisions
• Developing and providing meaningful monthly departmental cost analysis
• Supporting statutory audits, including from external auditors, banking audits and ONS surveys
• Providing weekly bank reporting to support lending facilities
• Producing financial reports and analysis as required

Requirements

• Qualified in either ACCA/CIMA
• 2+ years of experience in financial accounting and analysis
• Strong proficiency in excel and financial modelling
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• High levels of confidence and accuracy when working with and analysing data
• Strong organisational skills and good time management, with the ability to manage competing demands and priorities
• Well-developed communication skills across a range of mediums to both internal and external stakeholders
