Trades Supervisor

• Annual Salary: £42,000

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee Fabric Maintenance and void repairs to residential buildings in the Fareham area. This role is crucial for managing the work delivered by Operatives and Sub-Contractor partners, ensuring adherence to company processes, quality standards, and value steps. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance and a track record of effective team management.

Day to Day of the role:

• Scope void and occupied properties in collaboration with the client, following the agreed process.
• Regularly liaise with tenants and the client.
• Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed and ready for on-site purposes.
• Manage Sub-Contractor partners and schedule them in line with the programme.
• Provide on-site guidance to operatives and manage the sites under your control.
• Conduct Health & Safety audits and quality checks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• NVQ2 or equivalent in a trade skill.
• 5 years’ experience in Building Maintenance.
• 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role.
• 2 years’ experience in scoping work within the residential housing field.
• Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, and wet room processes and procedures.
• Full driving licence.
• IOSH Working Safely (desirable).
• Scaffold Inspector Course (desirable).
• Proficient in MS Office and understanding of management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and organise a diary.
• Practical approach to Health & Safety.
• Team player with a proactive attitude towards personal development.
