Techniche Global is supporting an independent company that specializes in the hire of non-mechanical plant equipment to appoint a Health, Safety & Compliance Manager.Location:Main office in Fareham. The job requires presence in depots 3 days a week (2 in Fareham, 1 in Uckfield) and 2 days at the head office.Schedule:Full-time, Monday to FridayTotal Hours per Week: approximately 43.5Depot Days: 9.5 hours per dayOffice Days: 7.5 hours per dayRole Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for all matters relating to Health & Safety and ensuring Company Compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements. The Company holds ISO 9001, Constructionline, Achilles, and FORS Accreditations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining these accreditations as well as completing all new PQQ applications.Main Responsibilities of the Health, Safety & Compliance Manager:
  • Advising on all matters relating to Health & Safety and Risk Management
  • Ensuring that the Company fully complies with all legislative requirements relating to H&S
  • Implementation and delivery of H&S legislation, policy, and objectives throughout the Company
  • Producing, implementing, and maintaining the Company’s Environmental Policy
  • Promoting a positive H&S culture and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Maintaining the Company’s ISO 9001, Constructionline, Achilles, and FORS Accreditations
  • Completing all new PQQ applications
Experience/Skills Required:
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety role with excellent knowledge of H&S standards, environmental compliance, and regulatory frameworks
  • H&S, environmental qualification such as NEBOSH or similar
  • Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO standards
  • Knowledge of Constructionline, Achilles, and FORS Accreditations would be an advantage
