Fantastic opportunity for a qualified mechanical Fitter/ Engineer to join an established manufacturing company based in Fareham, Hampshire
Negotiable salary dependent on the individual's skills and Excellent Benefits
Permanent position Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week and overtime
You will be building and testing in house manufactured products according to assembly instructions/engineer drawings, As part of our team, you may have the opportunity to work on ground-breaking products, using your skill and knowledge to contribute ideas to the design process, find flaws in development and test the finished pieces.
Day to day you will:
· Perform Inspections and testing of subcontracted machined parts including testing of tools, components, and materials for customers and suppliers
· Visit customers to demonstrate effective use of equipment, provide formal training on equipment operation
· Deliver and collect products and materials from suppliers/customers as required
· Perform servicing or maintenance on equipment returned from our customer base
· Work with the R+D department / Manufacturing manager to ensure existing products are improved/updated as necessary
To be considered for this position you should have the following:
· Proven experience in an engineering/fitting role and will possess a good understanding of mechanical engineering techniques
· Ideally will have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship/Time served or hold relevant mechanical qualifications and possess knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing techniques (milling, turning, etc)
· Full UK driving licence
It would be great if you had previous experience in an engineering role from the Gas or Water industry, however, this is not essential and will not affect your application.
