A skilled and driven Accounts Assistant with at least one year of relevant experience is needed to join the team at this leading aircraft charter company based in Farnborough on a full-time or part-time basis. 

You will be supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director with day-to-day accounting activities as well as assisting the wider team, as necessary.

Successful candidates will have a good foundation in finance and accounting principles, ideally with at least one year's experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be organised, efficient, flexible, and capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and changeable environment.

Background checks will be carried out to include Credit checks and a 5-year work history.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • General accounts admin
  • Obtain approval, code, and post supplier invoices onto accounting system
  • Generate sales invoices from our bespoke client management system and post to the accounting system
  • Prepare BACS runs for approval
  • Post daily bank receipts and payments to the accounting system
  • Processing staff mileage and expenses
  • Processing company credit card expenses
  • Bank reconciliation (multi-currency)
  • Updating daily Exchange Rates on all systems
  • Monitoring daily communications and actioning/responding as needed
  • Further ad-hoc duties as required

Required Skills:

  • Strong numerical and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of manual double-entry bookkeeping (not essential)
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and the ability to work on my own initiative, under pressure, within a small team environment
  • Ability to prioritise and manage responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met
  • Multi-currency experience (not essential)
  • Must be able to meet Security Clearance requirements
