Assistant Accountant, Farnborough, £30000 - £35000 + Benefits

Position Overview:

The is a great opportunity for a motivated Assistant Accountant to contribute to the continued success and growth of this rapidly expanding business and to play a central role in finance team delivery. In this varied and challenging role which mixes transactional work with more varied management accounting responsibilities in due course.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Finance Manager in a small, friendly and supportive accounts team.

Maintain accurate ledgers and finance data integrity and definitions.

Daily banking, reconciliation and AP/AR transactional accounting.

Vendor payments and relationship management.

Credit control.

Assisting with month and year end accounts preparation.

Reconciling balance sheet accounts and liaising on intercompany balances.

Fixed asset register maintenance & development.

Analyse and prepare reporting on financial statements, KPIs and metrics.

Bank reconciliations.

Staff expenses and commissions calculations.

Assisting with budget and forecasting schedules.

Developing and documenting financial processes, systems and controls.

Learning and developing the ERP finance system.

Competencies:

Self-motivated, organised, flexible and timely.

Methodical approach and good problem-solving skills.

Detail orientated, analytical and can present information concisely.

This is a mainly office-based role offering flexibility on start / finish times and the option of 1 day remote per week once established. Salary will reflect experience but will be in the region of £30-35k. Benefits include 22 days holiday, pension and parking. The office is easily accessible.
