A highly regarded, full-service law firm in Farnborough is seeking a professional and proactive Legal Assistant to join its Family Law Department. This is a full-time position within a busy support team, where you’ll play a key role in helping fee earners deliver a smooth, client-focused legal service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing full secretarial and administrative support including diary management, digital dictation, and file handling
  • Preparing legal documentation such as divorce petitions, Form E, and general court applications
  • Compiling court bundles and drafting briefs for counsel
  • Managing client interactions in person and by telephone in a professional and empathetic manner

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Accurate, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workloads across multiple fee earners
  • Able to take initiative within the remit of your role and stay ahead of deadlines
  • Comfortable using legal systems and adapting to new technologies
  • Familiarity with anti-money laundering procedures
  • Friendly and professional, with the ability to handle new client enquiries effectively
  • Confident in building rapport and working constructively with colleagues
  • Experience in family law is desirable, although legal secretarial experience in other practice areas will also be considered
  • Understands the importance of time management, process compliance, and high-quality output
