A new opportunity is available for a Joinery biased Estimator to join the existing team of a specialist producer and installer of joinery products based from their offices in the West Yorkshire area.

As a business they work with a range of clients directly providing full product manufacturer and installation, as well as operating as a sub-contractor for a number of leading main contractors on a national basis, values £10K to £2m.

The role would suit those candidates who are either carrying out a similar role currently and have progressed from a trades background and understand the practicalities of delivery, those who have priced worked as a sub-contractor and want a route into estimating or are currently working for joinery manufacturing specialist.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assess tenders, breakdown packages i.e., Bespoke joinery, doors, wall cladding and ceiling features.
  • Study the drawings, send out RFQ’s to subcontractors and compare their quotes.
  • Return RFI sheets to the client and review the feedback.
  • Build pricing schedules and cost tender package, ensuring the costs are relevant to the tender specification and finishes documents.
  • Compile tender specific presentations for client meetings.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and word an advantage.
  • Candidates should also have sound IT skills and a full UK driving licence as there will be site / client visits periodically.
