Description
- Ensuring all purchase invoices are correctly coded and authorised
- Daily posting of purchase invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Preparing payment runs and maintaining supplier accounts
- Handling purchase ledger queries in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing of the ledgers
- Supporting the wider Accounting & Finance team as required
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
- A solid understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in purchase ledger or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
