This SEN School is a Special School located in Swale, and is very committed to supporting the academic and personal development of the SEN students who attend the school. The school serves families and pupils aged 4–18 with various special needs, including:

  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
  • Severe learning difficulties (SLD)

Position Overview:

  • Role: Permanent Sixth Form SEN Teacher. 
  • Expansion: The school are looking to expand their team for September 2024 with wanting to add to their team. 
  • Student Focus: Students will work toward entry-level qualifications, gain work experience, and develop communication and life skills to achieve as much independence as possible.

Qualifications and Skills: We are looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). 
  • Preferably have experience working with pupils with special educational needs at further education level or demonstrate a proven interest in teaching pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties.
  • A qualified teacher that is wanting to work in an SEN- SEN experience is not crucial. 
  • Can differentiate curriculum delivery for pupils.
  • Can implement individualized goals and objectives based on individual strengths and identified needs.
  • Work well as part of a team and can also lead.
  • Are committed to their own professional development.
  • Possess effective personal organization, communication, and ICT skills.
  • Have a proven record of good to outstanding practice.
