NIGHT TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR

Your purpose

Reporting directly to import manager, night transport supervisor will be responsible for planning and organising the transport function efficiently for both imports and exports. Ensuring the delivery of a safe, legally compliant, and cost-efficient environment performing to all Service Level Agreements.

You will be accountable for:

  • Supervising and building the team with support from import manager to get maximum productivity and ensuring daily tasks are completed with mitigating any risks.
  • Drive measurements (KPIs) in safety, quality, and productivity alongside actively seeking ways of improving efficiency, optimisation, performance and reducing costs throughout the operation focusing on inbound and outbound transport.
  • To ensure enquiries and escalations are fully investigated and responded within SLA.
  • Ensuring effective resource planning and management to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Key liaison for ground handlers, hauliers, gateways and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with planning and implement all import/export transportation strategies according to all supplier and customer demand and administer internal movements of all goods and ensure compliance to all government regulations and collected/delivered within SLA.
  • Ensure compliance within company policies and regulation, to include H&S and Security.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Good knowledge and experience of imports and exports.
  • Strong ability in transferring skill set to educate and build team capability.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment.
  • Experience of leading a high performing team
  • Microsoft office competent
