We are representing an award winning family friendly Facade and Building Envelope contractor based near Portsmouth; they are known for their excellent service and after care supplying and installing various types of facades and external envelope products within the public, education, commercial and transport sectors covering the south of England including the London region.
The estimator role will be office based.
Key responsibilities:
- Working knowledge of aluminium and glazing systems (Reynaers & Smart systems).
- Providing other costs such as Rainscreen cladding, SFS and Kingspan.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- Issuing material requirements to buying department to ascertain costs for materials as detailed.
- Approving orders to suppliers for the supply of materials for projects allocated to you.
- Organising the relevant plant and access equipment for projects.
- Ensuring that a good relationship is kept with the client (end-user, architect and contractor, during the process, and that they are kept up to date regarding works.
- Attending site and project meetings where necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Happy to work within a small friendly office as the only estimator.
