Lead Systems Engineer, Okehampton, salary up to £45k DOE, plus benefits Full Time, Permanent and site based. This will be working Monday to Friday 830am – 5pm with some evenings or weekend work.

Due to exciting growth, Wise Employment are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer for one of our fast growing and expanding clients.

This role will see you having Design Authority for the electrical and auxiliary systems of products manufactured. It will involve the installation, integration and testing of electronic control systems and also environmental monitoring instruments.

Lead Systems Engineer duties required:

This role will see you responsible for 8 principle areas consisting of; Design, Manufacture, Materials and Supply, Setup and Configure, Software Development, Installation, Testing and Data Management.

You will be primarily accountable for areas such as; Manufacture of cable assemblies involving internal assembly, electrical systems design, development of new prototype systems, integration of new instruments and improvements, data collection and storage, installation and assembly of electrical, electronic and communication systems.

Key Skills required for a Lead Systems Engineer:

  • A minimum HNC in electronic engineering
  • At least 5 years’ experience of electrical system design and integration
  • Experience in cable assembly, installation and setup and configuration of computer systems.
  • Data Management experience
  • Knowledge of serial communication protocols
  • It would be advantageous to have experience of marine systems and operating or working on small vessels.

This role may at times require you to travel (within the UK and occasional abroad travel) so you will need to be flexible in your working hours to accommodate the needs of the business and could have some occasional short periods away (5-10 days) to support the needs of the business.
