Company: Sustainable Aquaculture Business/ Food ManufacturingVacancy: Health and Safety AdvisorReporting to Head of Health and Safety Salary: Up to depending on experience £50,000 per annum, + up to 15% bonusLocation; Fort William/ Lochaber, Skye, or Western Isles with travel across remote areas of ScotlandExclusively representing an impressive and sustainable, aquaculture organisation who are seeking a driven and engaging H&S Advisor, to support a high risk and fast paced organisation across multiple sites based across Scotland. You will have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the sites and have exposure to interesting innovative and diverse Health, Safety and Risk projects. You will be a part of a strong team, who report into the Head of H&S who can offer support and mentorship with lots of opportunity to grow and develop.Main responsibilities:
  • Support the farming side of the business, providing a proactive and innovative approach to Health and Safety across multiple sites
  • Provide practical and simple solutions to help make positive changes across the sites
  • Be hands on, visible and approachable across all sites
  • Be a key player within a competent, fast paced, and supportive team of 4, but also able to work independently on your own projects
  • Create and provide accurate and concise reports with supportive data
  • Conduct audits and critical risk assurance
  • Ensure site compliance and encourage continuous improvement
  • Investigate all accidents and incidents, ensuring causal factors are identified and risk mitigation is achieved.
  • Co-ordinate and positively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Support the sites on their cultural maturity journey, engaging and empowering the wider workforce
  • Be able to influence, coach and support the workforce to take accountability of Health and Safety
  • Present H&S updates on a Weekly/Monthly/annual basis, develop and drive Improvement programmes and progression against action.

Qualifications and background:
  • NEBOSH Certificate
