GSL Education are seeking proactive and dedicated Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools in Gateshead. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about education and looking to gain experience in a school environment.
Job Summary:
Cover Supervisors play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of education during teacher absences. They are responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, ensuring students stay on task, and managing classroom behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students are engaged in learning activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and behaviour.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school setting or relevant qualifications.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
