THE OPPORTUNITY

Nigel Wright is thrilled to partner with a renowned multinational warehouse and manufacturing company in their quest to recruit a talented IT Technician.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking organization. As an IT Technician, you will become an essential member of a dedicated and dynamic team, reporting directly to the IT Manager. You will play a pivotal role as the 'face of IT', providing exceptional 1st and 2nd line support, both onsite and remotely, through an advanced ticketing system.

DAY TO DAY

As an IT Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining our on-site computer systems and network infrastructure. Acting as the first point of contact for staff, you will collaborate with colleagues to manage user incidents, resolve problems, and process change requests, while also assisting with system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1st and 2nd line support to users both on-premise and remotely, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
  • Install, configure, and manage a variety of hardware devices to maintain optimal performance.
  • Administer Office 365 to ensure seamless operation and user satisfaction.
  • Oversee the configuration, upgrade, and rollout of user equipment, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Record, track, and resolve issues through our ticketing system to maintain accurate documentation and efficient workflows.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ideally, you will bring over 12 months of experience in a similar IT support role, showcasing your ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Your expertise should include:

  • Proficient helpdesk administration, ensuring efficient and effective user support.
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills to resolve connectivity and performance issues.
  • Comfortable handling printer setups, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledgeable in Office 365, ensuring smooth user experiences and administration.
  • Experience with SharePoint administration to manage and maintain collaborative workspaces.
  • A valid driving license, enabling flexibility to support multiple sites if required.

Beneficial qualifications include:

  • CompTIA or Microsoft certifications, which will enhance your technical proficiency and career development.
