What is the job about?

In addition to general support tasks, you will be expected to deliver a wide range of bespoke services within SLA, deal with suppliers effectively and in line with customer expectations, manage your workload to ensure deadlines are met across multiple accounts while building and maintaining rapport with new and established clients.

What exactly will you do?

Our Flex Key Account Managers are responsible for delivering the highest level of direct support to our largest and most complex flex accounts. They work closely with key decision makers and stakeholders as a dedicated point of contact while providing a wide range of bespoke services and technical support, including invoice validation, energy budget reports and supply management.

The role helps in achieving strategic outcomes for the business by offering high standards of service to those customers who invest significant time, money and resource into their energy strategy. Examples of your main tasks:

  • Serving as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
  • Attend customer review meetings and manage customer specific account management plans. Building and nurturing strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Invoice validation and energy budget reporting, working with the trading team to explain customer bills
  • Managing your portfolio of accounts whilst maximising retention levels and revenues.
  • Creating opportunities to cross sell water contracts and MOP contracts.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers.
  • Arranging quarterly check-ins with existing clients.
  • Working with clients and suppliers to resolve queries such as billing issues, contract issues and other discrepancies.
  • Collecting and recording accurate information into the CRM system for future reference.
  • Supporting the Operations Manager, Trading team and Business Development Managers with other business critical functions.
  • Support customers with non-additional services like site works, water and energy reduction
  • Work to strict deadlines
  • Provide in depth advice and support to our clients for a range of energy needs.
  • Carry out root cause investigation for metering and billing issues
  • Provide efficient and practical solutions to a wide range of complex issues
What we’re looking for

In order to be considered for this role you must have proven experience of B2B sales in the energy sector working with corporate / multi-site customers and/or public sector accounts. You will be a confident and effective communicator. Through your experience of energy sales, you will also already have a working knowledge of both fixed and flex product offerings.

  • Experience dealing with large commercial clients
  • An understanding of flexible purchasing
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer support
  • Experience working with Key stakeholders
  • Sound analytical skills, capable of clearly identifying and solving complex problems
  • Articulate and effective communicator with excellent written, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Highly organised, structured, and pragmatic and, where needed, flexibility in ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Good understanding of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good understanding of the commercial energy market
  • Astute, organisationally aware, with experience of working in a complex business environment.
