Our client based on Gillingham Business Park know that the people who work for them are key to the ongoing success of the company.

They now have a permanent job for an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance department.

Working with the accounts team and other internal departments, the main duties will be:

  • Sales Products - check for accurate description of products and other sales items.
  • SAP Item Master Database - review and ensure it is up to date with current item lists.
  • Production Data - ensure that it is aligned with shop floor, fields etc.
  • Commodity Codes - check that they are filled in correctly for export shipments.
  • Q&A data -ensure that all hazardous / chemical details are filled in correctly for freight / H&S
  • Purchase data - ensure correct lead time on MRP for accurate forecasting.
  • Assist with Purchase and Sales Ledgers - post entries, reconcile ledgers and run reports.
  • Corporate credit card expenses - timely upload and accurate coding of costs to cost centre.
  • Cost Centre reporting- review and distribute cost centre reports to internal departments.
  • Cash flow Analysis - Assist with reconciling cash book and cash flow reports.
  • To carry out any other ad hoc duties when required

  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn about new processes
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Accounting qualification - desirable
