Finance Manager Kent £60k + excellent benefits

A private equity backed business require an experienced, hands-on Finance Manager to join them working in their central finance function. Managing a small team, you will be responsible for both management and financial accounts. The role will be mainly home based with 1 or 2 days a week on site depending on business need.

Responsibilities include:

• Overall ownership of the group consolidated accounts
• Monitoring and reporting of capital project spend
• Creation and posting of accruals, prepayments and other accounting journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers
• Commentary and operational reporting
• Weekly and monthly sales reporting
• Aid budget holders in controlling their spend
• Preparation of financial statements
• Co-ordination and pivotal contact for year end financial audit
• Group quarterly VAT returns and adjustments
• Supporting with the creation of site and consolidated group budgets, to tight deadlines
• Creation and upkeep of group cash flow model and monitoring of group cash position

Experience / Skills / Knowledge

• QBE; part qualified or fully qualified candidates will be considered
• Candidate must have excellent Excel skills and be confident using the back end of finance systems
• Excellent communication and inter-personnel skills, ability to communicate cross functionally
• The ideal candidate will enjoy being in a hands-on role with an excellent eye for detail.
