A private equity backed business require an experienced, hands-on Finance Manager to join them working in their central finance function. Managing a small team, you will be responsible for both management and financial accounts. The role will be mainly home based with 1 or 2 days a week on site depending on business need.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall ownership of the group consolidated accounts
- Monitoring and reporting of capital project spend
- Creation and posting of accruals, prepayments and other accounting journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintenance of fixed asset registers
- Commentary and operational reporting
- Weekly and monthly sales reporting
- Aid budget holders in controlling their spend
- Preparation of financial statements
- Co-ordination and pivotal contact for year end financial audit
- Group quarterly VAT returns and adjustments
- Supporting with the creation of site and consolidated group budgets, to tight deadlines
- Creation and upkeep of group cash flow model and monitoring of group cash position
Experience / Skills / Knowledge
- QBE; part qualified or fully qualified candidates will be considered
- Candidate must have excellent Excel skills and be confident using the back end of finance systems
- Excellent communication and inter-personnel skills, ability to communicate cross functionally
- The ideal candidate will enjoy being in a hands-on role with an excellent eye for detail.
