Looking for an experienced Trading Underwriter with the ability to generate and underwrite new business enquiries profitably, accurately, and is looking for a successful career within a growing business.

Role

  • Property & Liability Underwriter will help drive effective broker relationships.
  • Utilising a strong balance of technical and trading capability, you'll be empowered to make decisions and deliver profitable growth, across new business within the key markets.
  • Relationship management is key - influencing key contacts in the marketplace through business development and customer engagement.
  • Understanding what matters to customers and brokers to provide the right solution and deliver the best outcomes.
  • There will also be opportunities to work towards underwriting licence levels.

Required skills and experience:

  • Experience within Property and Liability underwriting is essential.
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation.
  • ACII qualifications or working towards.
  • Good knowledge of the FCA rules and other relevant regulation and legislation.
  • Ability to analyse risks, communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
