Area Sales Manager

Working area: Scotland – Glasgow.

The position covers the following post codes (Scotland) – G, PA, KA, and DG

Package:

  • Salary £45,000 - £50,000
  • Bonus - 1.3% of all revenue generated, paid monthly in arrears. E.g. 1 million in sales - £13,000 in bonus.
  • Company Car - Hybrid
  • 40-hour standard working week, Monday to Friday
  • Holidays - 25 + banks
  • Occupational sick pay

Job description:
Our client is one of the world’s largest and most innovative equipment rental providers. Their recently opened Scotland branch is their biggest and best-equipped yet. You will be joining a hugely successful sales team that can offer you all the advice and support you will need to thrive. You will focus on generating new business for their expanding range of equipment, with particular emphasis on industrial infrastructure, water treatment, construction, and civil engineering sectors.

As a seasoned Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing new business leads and converting them into successful business opportunities.

Your focus:

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business – through lead generation, thorough follow-up, and skilled negotiation.
  • Develop and secure long term customer relationships for mutual benefit.
  • Achieve a deep understanding of our unique product and service range to out manoeuvre all competitors.
  • Actively drive marketing initiatives such as campaigns, product launches and trade shows.
  • Deliver on our ambitious revenue growth plans and share the rewards through our generous commission scheme.

Your profile:

  • Successful years working in a technical field sales environment, ideally with equipment rental, temporary power and/or pump industry experience.
  • Expertise and passion for prospecting new clients and securing quality business.
  • Desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving field sales environment.
  • Outstanding organisational, time management, verbal, written and IT skills.
  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level or demonstrating proven professional success.
  • Full driving license, living in the sales territory and willing to travel widely throughout the region.
