Civil Technician

An exciting new opportunity has become available with one of our award winning clients based in the central belt. We are looking for an experienced Civil Technician to come join our clients team on a full-time, permanent basis. This would ideally suit an individual who has previous experience working on high end projects. As the Civil Technician you will have a good understanding of engineering principles and have the ability to apply these into practise. You will provide solutions to technical problems using a variety of materials.

As the Civil Technician you will be a key point of contact within our clients team and you will provide support and guidance where necessary. We are looking for an individual who has a strong and comprehensive background and has the ability to hit the ground running. Due to continuous project wins we are looking for talented individuals to come join our clients team.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure project details are delivered effectively.
  • Ensure all technical and managerial draws are provided on time, in line with project requirements.
  • You will work inline with the companies ISO procedures.
  • Successfully prepare risk assessments and produce the relevant H&S plans.
  • Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders, building upon existing client relationships.
  • Review work produced by other technicians within the team.
  • Attend the relevant meetings.
  • Assist other members of the team with the production of engineering drawings and schedules.
  • Ensure quality of work is maintained throughout the project life cycle.

The key skills, knowledge and qualifications required:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role.
  • Previous experience working on high end projects with a proven successful track record.
  • Experience of the relevant software (Civils 3D, AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills is required.
  • Proven track record of building successful relationships with external clients.
  • Solid technical knowledge across civil engineering discipline.
