Painter & Decorator -- £29,120 - £31,200 + Overtime + Van 

Time-served painter and decorator required for our reactive repairs department. to work in occupied and void properties across central Scotland.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Undertake painting and decorating works in accordance with works orders, specifications, written communication.

· Undertake decorating techniques to include but not be limited to paperhanging, rag-rolling, polishing, and any other techniques appropriate to the role.

· Manage quality of own works.

· Order materials and check quantity and quality.

· Identify and report on associated trades requiring call in.

· Work in accordance with Company safety and environmental policies, directives, code of conduct and with a duty of care.

· Work in partnership with other operatives and subcontractors.

· Complete accurate Electronic works records and timesheets.

· Work in a timely and productive manner.

· Commit to respect and protect residents and clients properties.

· Reflect company image and brand.

· Afford excellent customer service to all.

· Undertake to report incidents of unsafe working, child neglect and drug use.

· Attend training sessions, customer forums, presentations etc when instructed.

· Manage waste in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications/Experience:

· Able to manage own time and quality of works.

· Technical knowledge of materials, products and small tools/plant appropriate to trade.

· Able to work safely, consistently with environmental awareness and respect for others.

· Qualified City & Guilds or NVQ2 standards or be committed to obtain them.

· CSCS qualified.


Skills Required:

· Preparation to ceiling walls and woodwork to a high standard

· AMES Taping to new plasterboard walls patching or new works

· Application of emulsion to ceiling and walls

· Application of Primer, undercoat and gloss to woodwork

· Application of wallpaper where necessary to a good standard

Additional Requirements:

· Disclosure Check

· Full Clean Driving License
