Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:
· Development of electrical panels containing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), LV modular distribution systems incorporating MCC’s, Transformers or Switchboards.
· Involvement throughout whole lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration, and documentation (working throughout to full QA procedures)
· Bid support, travel for technical input, customer liaison, input to sales proposals
· Working within project team to customer deadlines
· Providing technical support and guidance to a team of 2 Electrical Engineer’s
· Design of electrical cabling and containment systems
· Able to develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations
Electrical Design Engineer – The Person:
· Previous experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
· Good customer facing skills
· Knowledge of the full project lifecycle
· Innovative hardware background
· Passion for engineering with significant experience to draw from
· Ideally a solid understanding of PLC/SCADA system software and how it integrates into the panel
· Any experience of AutoCAD would be highly advantageous – other mainstream electrical CAD packages (i.e. EPlan) also easily transferable
· Instrumentation background highly preferred, as well as industry background of Marine / Oil & Gas / Water
