Reports to: E&M Supervisor
Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours)
Location: Site Based (central belt)
Salary: £19.41ph + travel time 

Overall Purpose of the Role:
The overall purpose of the role is to deliver electrical installation works including testing & pre commissioning activities within the major projects business. As an Electrician, you will
undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure.

As an electrician your main duties are as below:

• Maintain, repair and install electrical equipment for various clients sites.
• Swiftly and comprehensively fault-find and rectify problems on a variety of electrical issues.

Role Profile

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Deliver electrical construction to the standard identified in the electrical skills matrix.
• Deliver electrical compliance to the standard identified in the electrical skills matrix.
• Deliver electrical control to the standard identified in the electrical skills matrix.
• Demonstrate an understanding of current electrical regulations to BS7671.
• Demonstrate an understanding & construction skill base of current WIMES Specifications.
• Complete & input into the required NICEIC Certification.
• Interpret RAMS and prepare daily TSRA’s.
• Deliver electrical isolations & process instructions in accordance with the clients Safety Rules (ESR).
• Able to ensure CP (Competent Person) status in line with our clients ESR’s.
• Demonstrate proactive and empowered decision making.
• Work with all areas across the business to ensure compliance with processes and delivery of service.
• Review electrical design documentation.
• Complete any instructed onsite design changes and completion of red-line mark-ups of “As-built” drawings.
• Be prepared to work onsite and travel to and from site.
• Be available to work away from home when required.
• Mentor electrical sub-contractors where required.
• Assist interdepartmental teams as required.
• Demonstrate time served electrical apprenticeship & completion of SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
• Ensure the continued compliance in relation to health & safety within the electrical department.
• Ensure the continued compliance in relation to quality within the electrical department and providing suggestions for continual improvement.
• Work with all areas across the business to ensure compliance with processes and delivery of service
• Expected to train to Competent Person (CP) level in relation to Electrical Safety Rules (ESR) and Isolation Safety Rules (ISR) where appropriate to the role.
• To carry out the duties of the Competent Person (CP), meeting the respective technical standard.

Relevant Experience & Qualifications:
• SVQ Level 3 Electrical.
• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
• 17th Edition Wiring Regulations as a minimum.
• ECS Card.
• Knowledge and understanding of electrical construction to WIMES Specification.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
