Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a specialist provider of O&M, Servicing, Blade repair and Major Component Exchange solutions for wind turbines. They are looking for an experienced Wind Support Engineer to join their team of highly experienced professional Engineers.

The Wind Support Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to 50,000 plus company vehicle and other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

As a Wind Support Engineer you will:
  • Provide expert technical support for fault finding and maintenance work instructions.
  • Interpret and use wind technical drawings and OEM manuals effectively.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR).
  • Perform corrective and major corrective repairs on wind turbines.
  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly over the telephone.
  • Understand and use special tooling requirements for specific maintenance tasks.
  • Lead fault diagnosis and address issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate maintenance records.



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Authorised Engineer minimum of 5 years experience - in equivalent field or demonstrable experience with technical support within a wind turbine environment.
  • Experienced with working on V47, V52, V66, V80, G52, and G8X turbines, with a focus on V80 and V66 models would be a huge advantage.
