Senior Financial Analyst

Lusona Consultancy has an excellent opportunity for a ‘Senior Financial Analyst’ to join our client in Glasgow. This role will focus on the delivery of specific projects, with a key focus on financial planning and analysis activities. You will work closely with the wider finance team, as well as supporting key financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading project work within the finance team, collaborating with external stakeholders.
  • Preparing business cases and key aspects of corresponding financial planning and analysis.
  • Business partnering to provide analytics that will help improve key decision making. This will be done via trend analysis and analytics, building financial models and dashboards.
  • Supporting with the preparation of any external reporting.
  • Supporting ad hoc requests from other members of the finance team, providing analysis where necessary and recommendations.
  • Presenting key findings and recommendations to senior management and other external stakeholders.
  • Consolidating and reviewing monthly results and forecasts to prepare the monthly reporting pack.
  • Continuously drive areas of improvements e.g. improving efficiency and automation of report preparation.
  • Attending management meetings as required with senior members of the organisation.

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with excellent financial and management accounting experience, ideally from a large company background (suitably qualified by Qualified by Experience Accountants will also be considered). Likewise, you will have rounded experience of financial planning and analysis activities. It is important for applicants to have excellent communication and influencing skills at various levels across an organisation, as well as advanced excel skills.
