Job Title: Data Estimator
Reports to: Senior Design Engineer

This is a hybrid working position with around 40% of the role being in the office week to week. Our client takes pride in operating on a flexible working model with an early finish on a Friday!

Job Purpose:

• Respond to client requests for design and cost inquiries for structured network solutions, including active equipment
• Ensure timely submission of all pricings with due care to ensure commercial certainty of the bid
• Conduct site visits and surveys on existing premises to de-risk proposals before issuance

Aims and Objectives:

• Consistently deliver pricing structure and contracting standard compliance, exceeding business performance targets
• Establish the best available price to secure orders
• Build strong working relationships internally and externally

Candidate:

The ideal candidate will come from a Data background either as an Engineer or an Estimator with Data pricing experience.

* 5-10 years industry experience
* Proven experience in design and implementation of structured networks and fibre
* Ability to demonstrate excellent commercial awareness
* Have an understanding of electronic design and architecture
* Self-motivation with a high standard of workmanship
* Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve
* High level of self-motivation, can do attitude, organisational ability and drive to meet deadlines
* Demonstrate a commercial awareness within the fire & security / electrical industry
* Experience negotiating within Fire & Security industry
