This newly created role offers the opportunity to step into a strategic leadership position within a growing, client-focused organisation that works at the forefront of planning and compliance.We’re working exclusively with a professional services provider that supports clients through the increasingly complex property landscape. Due to continued growth, they’re now seeking a Head of Licensing to oversee client delivery, regulatory applications, and strategic development.The Role:
  • Lead on licensing and planning applications, including change of use and lawful development certificates.
  • Advise clients on compliance, prepare documentation for appeals, and liaise with planning authorities.
  • Manage a varied caseload with the support of digital case management tools.
  • Stay ahead of legislative changes and local authority policies to ensure best-in-class advice.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements to enable further scale.
  • Represent the business externally at events and in client-facing engagements.
  • Depending on experience, take on team leadership or departmental oversight responsibilities.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience in planning, licensing, regulatory services or related advisory roles.
  • Excellent organisational and client management skills.
  • Commercially minded, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of licensing and planning frameworks would be highly beneficial.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, collaborative professional services environment.
