Business Development Manager

£40,000 - £60,000

North East / Yorkshire / Scotland 

Due to year-on-year growth my client is actively seeking an experienced resilient and target driven Business Development Manager to join their growing business. As an integral part of the team you will contribute towards developing new relationships within the intermediary market, whilst promoting my clients products: Residential and 2nd Charge Mortgage’s.
 

Responsibilities for the Residential and Second Charge – BDM Role:

  • On-board new brokers to the intermediary panel
  • Work closely with the Mortgage Customer Service Reps to develop a collaborative working environment and maintain healthy working relationships with your colleagues, along with external and internal stakeholders
  • Identify new business opportunities while still maintaining existing broker relationships
  • You must stay up to date with product knowledge, system developments and lending criteria
  • Outbound calling to gain new business from brokers, to gain updates and follow up on any new enquiries

Requirements for the Residential and Second Charge – BDM Role:
 

  •  A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Residential BDM within the mortgage industry
  • Familiar with FCA regulations
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Clubs, Mortgage Industry and Networks
  • Proven experience of managing and building business relationships to increase market share within the mortgage industry
  • A solid understanding of the mortgage lending criteria and delivering new enquiries to the teams’ underwriters
  • You must be able to analyse business trends, along with identifying any potential risks and escalating these where necessary
